Greenheck

With a trio of facilities in Cleveland County, Greenheck reaps all the benefits of the region’s business-friendly environment.

A leading producer of air movement, control and conditioning equipment, Greenheck operates facilities in the United States, Mexico and India. Greenheck products manufactured in Cleveland County include commercial kitchen hoods and tempered air products, such as make-up air units and energy recovery ventilators.

Greenheck originally established itself in Cleveland County in 2007 with a plant in Kings Mountain and has continued to grow since then. In 2014, it opened a $33 million production facility on the west side of Shelby that included the addition of 184 jobs. The Cleveland County Economic Development Partnership worked with Greenheck on the project, helping secure job creation grants and discounted property taxes.

To help bolster the local workforce, Greenheck partnered with Cleveland County Schools and Cleveland County Community College to create a program that offers students the opportunity to earn certificates in manufacturing vocations.
